Boys World release new breakup anthem, Mantrum

The girls in Boys World–Makhyli, Elana, Olivia, Lillian, and Queenie–are starting the new year off strong with the release of a brand new single, titled “Mantrum”. The song, which was accompanied by a fun music video in which the girls feature as auto mechanics that fix a man’s car–and attitude–was dropped on January 18th, becoming the band’s seventh single.

The new song had been announced in late December of last year and had since been teased a few times on the band’s social media accounts. And in true Boys World fashion, it is all about empowerment and realizing one’s self-worth–especially after breaking up with a man filled with immaturity and insecurities. With verses such as “Don’t make me talk about the times I never finished” and “Boy, I ain’t your mama, pull your pants up, cause I’m so sick and tired of these mantrums”, the song is a strong contender to become a new breakup anthem.

The group has been on the rise since its formation in 2020, with them having already released several music videos, performed showcases in LA, done meet and greets, and amassed over 300,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, as well as over 2 million followers on TikTok. But the girls show no signs of stopping and have confirmed on a livestream, which was done right before the release of Mantrum’s music video, that their new jam is only the beginning of what’s to come for them–and their fans–during this year, as they have been writing new material and have a lot of new, exciting stuff.
